NDAL January 2018 Courses

The National Dog Agility League is pleased to present the January 2017 league games and courses. [1]

The NDAL currently engages in four league competitions. These are based on the size of the field and the complexity of challenge. January marks the beginning of the Winter series and the beginning of a new year of competition.

The January 2017 games and courses are pictured below. Links are provided for:

  2. Current standing in each league [note that most individual results are graced with a link to a YouTube recording so you can see how players around the world solve the riddles of each course.]

50×50 Premier

The NDAL Premier league is intended to feature very advanced handling challenges as you might expect in an International level of competition. This league provides franchise players with a basis for training, practicing and proofing those skills.

Currently there are six NDAL franchise clubs engaged in the 50×50 Premier league. Typically between 70 and 100 dogs play each month.

The January 2018 Premier league game is a Looper. A Looper is a short course that is taken twice, as numbered, without stopping. The scoring basis is Time, Plus Faults.

As the league name implies, this competition is run in a 50×50 competition space and is dedicated to very advanced and very technical handling challenges.

50×70 Fast & Fun

The NDAL 50×70 Fast & Fun League is intended to allow the dog to work at full extension while facing modest but interesting handling challenges. This league provides franchise players with a basis for training, practicing and proofing basic skills while polishing the working relationship between dog and handler.

Currently there are sixteen NDAL franchise clubs engaged in the 50×70 Fast & Fun league. Typically there are more than 200 dogs playing each month. This is the most popular NDAL league.

The January 2018 50×70 Fast & Fun game is a Numbered Course. The scoring basis for this game is Time, Plus Faults.

This competition is run in a 50×70 competition space and is dedicated to modest technical handling challenges with the dog allowed to work predominately at full speed.

60×90 Masters

The NDAL 60×90 Masters League is intended to allow the dog to work predominately at full extension while facing advanced technical challenges. This league provides franchise players with a basis for training, practicing and proofing advanced agility skills while refining the working relationship between dog and handler.

Currently there are ten NDAL franchise clubs engaged in the 60×90 Masters League. Typically there are between 120 and 150 dogs playing each month. This is a popular NDAL league.

The January 2018 60×90 Masters game is a Numbered Course. The scoring basis for this game is Time, Plus Faults.

Currently there are seven NDAL franchise clubs engaged in the 36×85 Fast & Fun league. Typically there are 70 to 80 dogs playing each month.

The January 2018 36×85 Fast & Fun League game is a Numbered Course. The scoring basis for this game is Time, Plus Faults.
